Rodrigo Leao and his Cinema Ensemble present “O Mundo (1993-2006)” in Cádiz,, a retrospective show where they perform songs included since “Ave Mundi Luminar” up to “Cinema”, as well as other compositions for Sétima Legião or Madredeus, and some new songs as well, such as “Voltar”.

Rodrigo Leão is nowadays working on another project, too. It is called “Os Portugueses” and it is based in the music Leão originally created, accepting António Barreto's invitation, for the excelent documentary “Portugal, Um Retrato Social”, recently broadcasted by RTP (Radio Televisión Portuguesa) .

The powerful images of this programme mean to compose a view of the contemporary portuguese society. And those images inspired Rodrigo Leão the composition of a strong music, with subtile elements of portuguese identity.

The pieces composed for tv have now been arranged by the composer to be performed live, and they are now touring as a concert, in a way of walking towards the Portugal that inspired them. This show also includes a few unpublished songs by Rodrigo, as well as other compositions out of the recent career of the great portuguese musician.
